You are not average

It does not refer to specific races, but to humankind as a whole, the entire race of that species known as homo sapiens. Race consciousness is what the majority of people in a particular society are accepting as true. It is burned into their consciousness. For example, every year television commercials are bombarding us with news about how cold and flu season is here. The average person will believe the lie, and commence preparations to avoid getting a cold or the flu, and many of those average people will get it anyway.
But there’s a different way to do things: Don’t believe the lie. I am indebted to Rev. Edward Viljoen for today’s blog topic and for much of the phrasing in this post. He said in his service today to rise above the average. In fact he made this declaration, and I would like to pass it along to you: “I am not subject to the laws of the average. I am not average.”
Declare your uniqueness! Revel in your specialness! Don’t accept as true for you what the majority of the population is saying. Do your spiritual practices and connect with the One and you will KNOW what is right and true for you, no matter what the rest of the world is saying. As Rev. Edward said this morning, “That peace that is me cannot be affected by the group thought that is average. I am not average.”
